MORPHEUS8 RADIO FREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING
Morpheus8 is a rejuvenating procedure that pairs microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. The treatment is nominally invasive and uses tiny needles to deliver RF energy deep into your skin. Micro wounds are created on your skin and activate natural healing responses. As your skin begins to heal, collagen and elastin are produced, and you can expect firm and smooth skin.
Morpheus8 is designed to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, smooth out rough skin texture, tighten lax skin, decrease acne scarring, and removes stretch marks. Morheus8 has also been found to reduce some fat in your face but just enough contour and rejuvenate your skin.
Morpheus8 uses microneedling and radiofrequency energy. These two skin rejuvenation treatments are proven to be highly effective for skin rejuvenation. By using Morpheus8, the dermis and the epidermis or the upper and lower layers of your skin are treated. You can see and feel deep remodeling and resurfacing. Microneeding RF delivers electrical energy to cause coagulation in the tissues, plus exfoliation and collagen remodeling. Morheus8 improves the texture and tone of your skin and at the same time causes the skin to tighten.
Extensive studies have proven Morpheus to be a safe treatment. You may experience some common temporary side effects, but these side effects should fade on their own.
Morpheus8 can treat any area of the body that would benefit from surface contouring. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck. Nonetheless, any area that exhibits wrinkles, discoloration, stretch marks, or acne scarring is suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include:
- WRINKLES AND LINES OF THE FACE
- DISCOLORED AREAS OF THE SKIN
- SKIN TEXTURE AND QUALITYCREPEY SKIN
- ACNE SCARRING
- LOOSE SKIN OF THE FACE, NECK, AND ABDOMEN
Morpheus8 utilizes both radiofrequency energy and microneedling, although the gold-plated steel micro-pins are longer than those used in traditional microneedling—which means that they penetrate deeper for more effective results. These longer needles are able to perform deep adipose dermal remodeling, distributing the RF energy in depths of 2 millimeters, 3 millimeters, or 4 millimeters. This RF energy heats up your tissue to trigger collagen and elastin production, and also tightens fibers and contours fat at the same time. This results in more toned, firmer skin.
Morpheus8 is an excellent option for those interested in rejuvenating and revitalizing areas of their face and body affected by age or other factors. It has the advantage of “color-blind technology”, which makes it useful for all skin types. Its unique properties reduce the risk of post-inflammatory scarring or hyperpigmentation that is commonly seen with other skin treatments on those with darker skin tones. These non-surgical treatments have become a must in modern anti-aging medicine. Other benefits of Morpheus8 include:
- Stimulates collagen production
- Extremely uniform effect
- Safe on all skin tones
- Deep and safe fractional treatment
- Little to no thermal damage to the dermis
- Little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is common with other resurfacing methods.
Morpheus8 is performed in the comfort of our surgical center. It’s done under topical anesthesia which minimizes any discomfort as the micro-pins work on the targeted areas to remodel the deep layers of the skin. For a minimal add-on fee, we also offer Nitrous Oxide or IV sedation to minimize discomfort. During the treatment, different energies may be used, depending on your areas of concern. Individual results may vary and contraindications may apply. Depending on the area or areas to be treated, 1-3 sessions may be required. We will discuss how many sessions you will need during your consultation. Downtime is minimal if there is any at all.
Pricing will be based on a number of treatments and body areas. Please call us to set up an appointment to schedule a complimentary consultation.
Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.
